Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Michael Khoshahang, trading as Onyx, Israel ("Onyx", "we") for the Onyx app on iPhone and Apple Watch. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Who can use Onyx

You must be 16 or over. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens under it. One account per person.

Not medical advice

Onyx is a training log and a set of estimates — readiness, recovery, targets, records. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to a doctor before starting a training or nutrition programme, and stop if something hurts. You train at your own risk.

Subscriptions

Logging needs Onyx Pro. Pro is sold through the App Store as a monthly or yearly subscription, each with a one-month free trial for new subscribers, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple bills you, and a subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends — in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting your Onyx account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules. Without Pro you keep your history, your exports, sign-out and account deletion.

Your data

What you log is yours. We store it to run the app for you, as the Privacy Policy describes, and nowhere else. You can export it at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account), which erases it from our servers, your phone and your watch.

Fair use

Don't try to reach other people's data, disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law. We may suspend an account that does.

The service

We work to keep Onyx available and correct, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Ending

You can stop using Onyx and delete your account at any time. We may end the service with reasonable notice; if we do, you'll be able to export your data first.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away the protection of the law where you live.
